Precisely one year ago I had a journal entry stating that "I hope to get some new stuff up on here soon."

Heh. Heheheh. Haahahaaahaahhahah. I don't have a scanner anymore. Ah well, maybe stuff will appear on here somehow, especially now that I've remembered I have it.

I kinda forgot what this thing was for. Art updates, right.

Well, what I hope to do is get stuff up on here pretty soon. A few doodles here and there, some writing, and a couple of other projects. This journal was really just here because I didn't like the last one still being on my front page. Blag.

So yeah, look for updates soon if you care to.

I'm pretty sure that's not a word. I bet it is, and it's something really awful.

[Irrelevant]
How do I have over 500 views? Right, because over 500 people have viewed my page. Makes sense. Boy, do I need drawing practice. Hey, I'm getting better. At drawing. Not so much with the whole "person" thing. Trying counts, though. At least to me. I'll be a real boy someday.
Maybe I need to be eaten by a whale first. That was such an annoying level. You thought I was talking about Kingdom Hearts, but I meant Megaman.[/Irrelevant]

Anyway.

I've really got very little to report. It's 2008, whatever that means to you. Has been for several days now. I was waiting that first day, waiting and watching very carefully. Made little mental notes on the time.
Nothing had changed. I went the whole way through the first day (by this point 10 days) of 2008 and everything was still the same. Bit of a disappointment, I'll tell you that. No, I don't know what I was expecting. But I was waiting for SOMETHING... and I still am, and I know that that something, whatever it is, is going to be awesome. Not sure whether that's the "totally freakin'" kind of awesome or the "fills you with awe" kind of awesome, or both, but awesome.

I explained to a friend of mine the not-so-strange phenomena that surrounds me. He said that cell phones do all of the same things, though not quite on the same scale. I don't own a cell phone. I use someone else's occasionally, but the stuff never happens when I do... anyway, the point is, maybe I can call people mentally. Or maybe too much time around me causes cancer... sorry CP!

No, what it is is an electric field, not radiation (well, I suppose it could be both, technically, but I dunno how I'd be irradiated that much). All humans generate an electric field, so that's not a big deal. But what happens is that I overload electrical stuff with my field. Or at least that's how it was explained to me. Apparently it's pretty impressive to be able to do that ambient energy. I wouldn't know. Who do I have to compare it to? Anyone who does super-phenomenal stuff around me (barring a specific one or two) must hide it really well.

Who knows? Maybe I can call people. If you get a phone call without a number, or maybe it just says "Xallace's Brain" instead, it could be I...

It's a story. Go figure.

Jah, this is the beginning of my graduation project. Do I consider myself a good writer? No, not in the least. But I'm having fun with this, so the matter of my talent or lack there of can be put on hold for the sake of my own entertainment. I think that's a good policy.

I use several different websites to get my entertainment fix. Among, Veoh and TVlinks are probably my most used, mostly due to the high quality and huge, organized selection.

My usual form of entertainment on these sites is to browse the anime section until I find something I've never heard of before. As you can guess, I find stuff pretty quickly. Some of it is okay, some of it is total crap. And then every once in a while, I find something that I absolutely love. This also happens when I browse random movies at video stores, and the "New" section at my local comic book stop. Most of the stuff in movies is crap, though. It's a wonder what gets filmed.

Anyway, one of these wonders that I've found is called Welcome to the NHK (NHK ni Youkoso). It's basically the story of Japan today. It follows the life of a guy named Satou as he basically encounters every social issue Japan has at the moment. It's hilarious at points, overwhelmingly sad at others, and just incredibly interesting through-and-through. Although it's needless to say, I love it.

But unfortunately, I can barely watch it. Why? Because every time someone uploads it to a website I watch, it is at some point or another removed. Mainly this is for "violating terms and conditions." But what does it do that violates terms of use? There is minimal swearing, I'll admit a bit of almost-nudity, and no violence!

But apparently, SOMETHING in the show is causing it to be inappropriate. But what, I don't know. Just recently I was watching the first episode of Elfen Lied, which has been on there for quite some time. It contained full nudity and the most appalling gore I've ever watched in an anime (and it was kinda boring, too). So why is it there, but NHK ni Youkoso is not allowed to be watched?

This ends my rant.
